Have you noticed how hard it is to find a decent sea food restaurant in Montreal? Well let me tell you that La Sirène is among our most favorite restaurants in Montreal for sea food. There are two locations in Montreal. I like the one on Jean-Talon. Although some might find the restaurant expensive, I have to tell you that the food is exceptionnaly good. The service is very fast and staff is more than friendly. The mezza is very good (Taboule, Houmous, cheese sticks, raw kebbe, fries etc..). For the fish, you can go to the small market at the back of the restaurant and pick the fish you like. The fish is very fresh and I suggest you ask the man behind the counter for his suggestions.. you can`t go wrong
The decor of the restaurant is fantastic as well. If you drink alcohol, don’t forget to have a bottle of Arak

Yesterday, I was walking back home when I saw the big yellow sign of BUNS Hamberger House on Ste-Catherine (close to St-Mathieu). I got hungry because they have their single fire grill right next to the window display and the smell got to me ! I went in and the place is a narrow rectangle which seats maximum 10 people. It’s mostly a take out place but you can sit if you want.
On the menu:
Hamburger: 4$
Double Hamburger: 6$
Roasted Potatoes: 2$
Soft-Drinks: 1$
(Cheese is optional and free)

I was amazed by the simplicity of the menu, the place and the idea. By the way, the place has been opened since September 2008

Conclusion: I actually enjoyed the burger very much. So much that I ordered a second burger. I found the burger to be pretty juicy and although the punk music in the background, the yellow walls and the dirty dirty fans on the ceiling made the place look “very student like”, I still give it a 8/10 for the tasty burger and the effort.

Give it a try, but don’t invite your girlfriend’s parents if you’re trying to impress them

Located on 1481 René-Lévesque West, Buffet Maharaja offers a wide variety of delicious indian food. It’s been recently renovated and the buffet is now bigger than before. The staff is very friendly and waiters are always checking on you. I love their butter chicken and the nan bread ! All you can eat nan !! Yaay !
The buffet also includes a small corner that has non-indian food such as pizza, french fries, onion rings etc..

I would definetly recommend Buffet Maharaja especially if you are very hungry for indian food.

Sushi Kanda is one of the firsts “All you can eat sushi” in Montreal. The first one opened on 2045, rue Bishop (Downtown Montreal). The all you can eat buffet is 21.99$/person and includes many varieties of sushis, makis, rolls, chicken, fish, tofu etc etc. The food is great and ALWAYS fresh because the tables keep rolling. The restaurant is always full (or almost) so you know that the fish hasn’t been there for long.
If you’re hungry and feel like pigging up sushi, Kanda is the place. Lunch specials are also great (all you can eat for 13.99$)

Be careful not to over order because you’ll have to pay 1$ for each piece you leave on your plate. You should instead order 2 or 3 times instead of ordering one big plate one time and not be sure to finish it !
PS: Try to Pizza sushi !

For Sushi Kanda’s location, CLICK HERE
